WIRE WRAP CLASSES

With the increasing interest in the ancient art of wire wrap jewelry making and design, the timing could not be better for the introduction of my new and exciting books and comprehensive classes in wire wrap jewelry making and design.

All too often the desire to learn wire wrap art is put aside for lack of instructional material that is truly aimed at the beginner and the struggling student.   All of that has changed; this is your time to learn this beautiful and intriguing art form.

A picture is worth a thousand words, however, a thousand words describing how to create the picture, is priceless.

CLASSES AVAILABLE AT A LOCAL CRAFT STORE

FUN WITH WIRE:  Fun with wire is exactly what this class is all about.  Created for those with little or no wire wrapping skills, it plants the seed to expand to the next level which is "Wire Wrap 101".  The projects covered:  bracelets, bangles and beads.  "Mandrel Mania",  making wire and bead rings on a fixed ring mandrel, and  basic "chain making" techniques to make bracelets, danglers and earrings.  Every students will receive a free copy of the book "Fun With Wire" when they begin the class.  One 5-1/2- hour class limited to the first six students.

WIRE WRAP 101: This is a comprehensive course for the beginner and the struggling student who really wants to learn wire wrap jewelry making and design.  The course covers the basics in wire handling, wire manipulation and the construction process.   The course includes five in-class projects in wire art pieces including earrings, bracelets, rings and pendants.  To help assure your success in this art form, each student will receive a free copy of the book Wire Wrap 101 from the author (a $24.95 value), your lifetime reference to success.  The 70 page book/course is complete with numerous design and sizing aids, over 230 graphic illustrations, a 6-page glossary of terms and a step-by-step format. This course is not beading or stringing.  This is a complete course in true wire wrapping the old way, and the doorway to a whole new art form.  The course is presented in two 6-hour classes; and is limited to  6 students to assure a quality learning experience.

WIRE WRAP 102 - ADVANCED DESIGN AND DISCOVERY:  Here it is, "the class you've been waiting for".  The focus is on the pre-formed style pendant, the most sought after style wrap in wire art today.  In this class the artist shares some of his greatest secrets on how to make a piece of artwork come alive with style and uniqueness.  Here you will learn signature design styles invented by the artist himself - "The Hilloma Crown" and the world of "Linking Eyelets".  Imagine the potential of linking pendant design wires directly to pre-planned eyelets.  Understand the relationship of the two primary design wires - Gold filled and Argentium sterling silver.  Discover the Reverse Bail and revel in the Reveal, plus more!  The 5-1/2-hour class is limited to 6 students who have taken the Wire Wrap 101 class, or understand the construction of the pre-formed pendant.   Every student will receive advanced design material.

CHAIN MAKING 101 & BEYOND:  Finally, you can have it all "The Beginning, advanced techniques and a future" in handmade wire wrap chain making.  You will learn how to make  bracelets, anklets, necklaces, chokers, earrings, crystal danglers, layered chain design as well as the "Hilloma Links Wrap" for pendants, coins, crystals and more.  The chain links in this art-form are connected together with locking loops, linking each loop to the adjoining loop in  a permanent connection, "one link at a time". The class is designed for anyone with basic tool and wire handling skills and a real desire to make beautiful chain.  To maintain the highest quality in this unique art form and chains that you will be making, the class will only be taught using 14K gold filled and Argentium Sterling Silver wire.  Note: this is not a class in chain-mail chain.

The jewelry pieces made in all classes are, of course, the possessions of the students; however, my intent for these classes is to teach the craft and techniques of wire wrap jewelry making and design.

All classes are limited to the first six persons to sign up.  The limited number is necessary to assure personal assistance to each student in developing the techniques and the skills of wire wrapping.
